Hi Kelly! Tell us a bit about yourself so our readers can get to know you a little better.
I’m 29 and I’m from Stoke-On-Trent. People tell me I’m quirky….I’m a bit of a geek to be honest! I love nothing more than staying in every night making things like jewelery, crocheting, sewing clothes for my dolls and watching Japanese anime films. I have three shih-tzus which I adore! As cheesy as it may be, I’m passionate about whales and dolphins and I support and donate to the Sea Shepherds, WDCS and the Seawatch Foundation. I adopted a whale called SOD and a dolphin called Nic Nic and hope to see an end to Whaling worlwide in my lifetime. I work as an Optical Assistant and Diabetic Retinopathy Screener for Glyn Jones Opticians in Stoke-On-Trent and I love my job!
It seems like you lead a pretty interesting life to us! How did you find out about Star in a Bra?
I was having a browse on Simply Yours, looking for something to buy, and I saw it advertised there!
So what made you enter this years Star in a Bra?
I entered Star In A Bra because I’d often thought “I could do that” while looking through lingerie catalogs and thought this was a good opportunity for little old me to give it a whirl!
How did you feel when you entered? Everyone else seems to have felt very nervous or thought they wouldn’t get very far!
How did I feel when I found out? Well, I’d been checking my emails all morning between patients and then after my lunch I saw one from Curvy Kate but didn’t actually read it properly. I went bounding in to my boyfriend who I work with and told him – I was in a state of disbelief and rather excitable! Then I went back into my room and re-read the email, and felt like an idiot, as it was just a confirmation!! I refreshed my inbox and ‘Congratulations your through to the top 30!’ popped up! I just couldn’t believe I’d made it through! I have yet to tell my boyfriend I misread the first email…
We’re pretty sure if he reads this he’ll find out! So why should people vote for you to be in the final ten?
Geek power? Ginger power?! I’m just so humbled to be in the top thirty to be honest! But please vote for me! I’m not very good at tooting my own horn, sorry!
