Curvy Kate Third Birthday: Day 5, Dove Hair Therapy

We’ve got that Friday feeling in the office, although to be honest this whole week has felt like one big Third Birthday party! We hope you’ve been enjoying our Third Birthday sweepstakes as much as we have – we’ve got our fingers crossed for you all win some amazing prizes!
Up today is Dove Hair Therapy.
Everyone has a hair ‘mare. Mine is – without a doubt – brittleness and breakage. I find that although my hair can get quite greasy at the roots, the ends are often left gasping for nourishment, and nothing can quite quench their thirst like an intensive conditioner.
When I have an ‘in-between-washes’ day, I find that my ends can feel so straw-like, and I wash my hair not only to keep it clean, but to put some moisture back into my ends. I’m trying to grow my hair and I love having long hair, but as my hair isn’t the most resilient, I need a little extra help.
That’s where Dove Hair comes in.
This week I picked up their ‘Intensive Repair’ regenerating mask, and I have to say I’m thoroughly impressed! My mum is a professional hairdresser so I’ve spent much of my life with access to trade price professional brands, but Dove’s mask can be picked up in your local supermarket or pharmacy, and certainly gives professional brands a run for their money.
I also picked up a travel-sized version of their ‘Nourishing Oil Care Express Treatment Conditioner’ for a recent holiday, and again, I’ve really enjoyed using it.
Both of the products I tried felt really nourishing on the hair, whilst still remaining light and soft. The fragrance wasn’t too strong or floral – the mask had a gorgeous scent which reminded me ever so slightly of almond or shea butter. It was a welcome change from heavily scented products which I find I love at first but get sick of pretty quickly.
When I was having a particularly Bad Hair Day and was in a rush to get out of the door, I have used a small amount of the Nourishing Oil Care directly to dry hair as a leave in treatment and it actually worked really well, too.
