Curvy Kate First Bloggers Event
Written by Cheryl on Jul 31, 2012
With the release of our latest Autumn/Winter collections and third birthday milestone this month, we decided to celebrate by hosting our first ever exclusive blogger event.
With Curvy Kate’s infamous fit, fun and fashion as a focal point of the event, top British beauty, lifestyle, lingerie, fashion and plus sized fashion bloggers were invited to get a feel for our charisma and body confidence message.
With 80% of women are still wearing the wrong size bra, attendees were encouraged to get a bra fitting with one of our experts. The majority of the girls discovered that they were wearing the wrong size – with most needing smaller band sizes and at least one cup size larger – and were sent home with a gorgeous bra set in their brand new size.
To fully convey the brand’s passion for diversity and shapely figures, four of Curvy Kate’s ‘Star in a Bra’ models made an appearance, including this year’s winner Sophie Morgan (30G), runner up Charlotte Upton (28HH), last year’s winner Lizzie Haines (32H) and 32K 2012 finalist Alice Rose Rayman.
The bloggers were given a summary of the company’s inception and brand development by PR & Marketing Manager Hannah Houston, followed by an insight into the design process with Head Designer Charlotte Davies. The ‘Star in a Bra’ models then showcased how amazing their curvy figures looked in the latest collections in a fun catwalk display.
It was fantastic to have models of all different shapes and sizes there representing the brand, in particular we had great feedback about K cup Alice. It was fantastic to see such an interaction between the bloggers and the models since they all equally represent the Curvy Kate customer. It was wonderful to see so many of the bloggers enjoying the Autumn/Winter range and going home a little more knowledgeable of what Curvy Kate are all about. Full bust lingerie needn’t be something to hide; fashion is equally as important to us as the perfect fit.

Sounds like it went well, congratulations. It sounds like those wearing the wrong size bra were similar to me in terms of the extent to which they were wrong as I too needed to go a band size down but a cup size up. I think I can see this growing from a bloggers event into something big.
